Barbara Smith - Founder of Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio

Barbara has taught many generations of students for over half a century. She is a former television personality in Philadelphia, PA.


Susie Smith - Director of Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio

Susie's extensive training includes Philadelphia Civic Ballet, Mike Lanning for tap, and Suzi Miller (of Evening Magazine Dancers) for jazz. Susie also trained at the Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Center in New York, as well as Joe Tremaines and Jane Fonda's Studio in Los Angeles, CA. Susie received voice training from Roy Hisson in Washington, DC, Russ Faith in Philadelphia, and Andy Goultier in New York. She has used her extensive training to perform professionally at Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater, where her credits include "West Side Story", "Singing in the Rain", "Guys and Dolls", "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas", and numerous musical reviews where she was featured. Susie was a finalist in the Nashville Country Music Showdown talent contest. She worked for 15 years at Cecil Community College and was the creator and instructor for the "Kids in Kollege Summer Dance Program". Susie has been the director of Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio since 1981. In her spare time she chereographs and directs plays at Elkton United Methodist Church, Northeast Middle/High School, Immaculate Conception School, and Newark High School.


Scott Rogenzweig - Artistic Consultant/Choreographer

Scott currently resides in Las Vegas and is the office executive for Ellis Garning and Entertainment Director for Madam Tussaud's. Scott directed "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" for MGM-Disney. He has numerous TV and movie credits and locally has starred in and directed many Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater productions.


Michael Brooks - Recital Director/Choreographer

Michael Brooks has been working professionally as a dancer, singer and actor for over 27 years. A full dance scholarship at the Anna Marie Leo studio in Wilmington, De, led to appearances in shows at many theaters in Wilmington, Philadelphia, the Atlantic City Casinos, and national touring companies. Local theatre goers recognize Michael from the Candlelight and Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatres.

Now living in Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael has trained in tap with the Radio City Rockettes, and ballet with Carol Sampson of the Nevada Ballet Theatre. Credits include feature performances in "Hollywood in Vegas", at the Orleans Hotel and Casino, and the ESPY Awards show at the MGM Grand. In continuing education, Michael is an A.C.E. accredited personal trainer, and a student at the Stott Pilates Center in Tribeca, NYC.


Anna Ivanova - Ballet Mistress

Miss Ivanova began her ballet studies at the Perm Ballet Academy in the former Soviet Union and later studied at the Frunze Ballet Academy. She has performed with Cheliabinsk Opera and Ballet as a principal dancer. She has also performed with the Donetsk Ballet, and was a principal dancer with the Russion Ballet Theatre of Delaware.


Heather Crouse - Studio Manager/Instructor/Assistant

Heather has danced for 25 years at Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio. She graduated from Barbizon Modeling School and has coached cheerleading for the Cecil County Jaguars for 10 years. Previously, Heather has volunteered at Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Ranch, working with disabled children.


Carissa Lagano - Instructor/Assistant

Carissa became a student at BADS at the age of four and began assisting in 1991 at age eleven. She was the first Miss Teen Cecil County in 1994. She has performed in various shows throughout Cecil County as well as performances of the Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater "Christmas Show".


Ashley McKinney - Instructor/Assistant

Ashley has studied dance for 25 years and holds many pageant titles. She is also a teacher at Bohemia Manor High School.


Gina Rollar - Instructor/Assistant

Gina is a freshman at Cecil College. She has studied dance for 13 years. She was a runner up for Miss Teen Maryland. Along with various performances locally, she also participated in the Manhattan Dance Project. She has worked at BADS for 2 years as Susie's assistant.


Anna Smith - Junior Assistant

Anna is Susie's daughter. She is in 8th grade at Immaculate Conception School. She has studied dance for 11 years. She also played lead roles in many plays at her school and church. She has been an assistant at the studio for 2 years.
